What good guides
get right.

Patterns we see across the highest-rated guides on the platform. Steal liberally.

Tone

Write like you would text a friend who is staying for the weekend. Use first names (“Ana”) not titles (“the host”). Use second person (“you’ll love…”) not third (“guests enjoy…”).

Recommendations

  • Aim for 12 to 20 favorites. Fewer feels thin, more dilutes the host-pick signal.
  • One sentence per spot. Specifics (“the chocolate babka, weekends only”) beat adjectives.
  • Tag honestly. “Verify hours” on shoulder-season spots is what makes guests trust the rest.

The five questions to pre-answer

  1. Where do we eat tonight (walkable)?
  2. What is the Wi-Fi password?
  3. How do we work the TV / coffee maker / heat?
  4. What is a good rainy-day plan?
  5. What is the best sunset spot?

If your guide nails these, support texts effectively go to zero.
